Law in Contemporary Society

Personal Introduction

I moved away from home-a sunny, Mexican-infused Los Angeles-almost eight years ago. In those years, I went to college, worked in DC, and started law school. Staying away was my way of growing up on my own terms to become more than a putative American anchor baby. I came to the law because I want to respond to injustice, not just take note of it. And maybe, I'll make it back to California someday.

I still hope to fulfill my childhood career aspirations to be a: reporter, Agent Scully, flautist, public servant, scholar, textile designer...

Here I go!
