Law in Contemporary Society
When I leave law school, I want to be in a position to remedy the social and economic issues plaguing inner-city communities, especially African-American communities. I want to start with my own family by making sure that my baby brother, niece, nephew, and cousins pursue higher education. I hope to leave with the skills necessary to build social enterprises that promote wellness, education, and cultural awareness in the places that I am from, Detroit and Washington, D.C. Most of all, I hope I do not forget who I am, where I came from, and what I came here for.
