I wanted to be a lawyer because I see it as a venue for social change while keeping my pocktbook happy. A JD is a highly regarded degree and I didn't see myself ending my education with simply an ugrad degree. That said, I'm still not 100% sure what kind of lawyer I want to be, or if I want to eventually end up as a lawyer at all. I don't have a concrete plan; rather I have a general direction that I will follow until my instincts tell me to turn around.
