Law in Contemporary Society
I came to law school because from 2008 to 2009 I worked in a refugee camp where terrible things happened and I came away feeling helpless and afraid. I tried to learn more about how I could help at a non-profit in New York but after two years I still felt helpless so I quit. I try to keep a balance now between staying happy and healthy, enjoying my time, and figuring out what I can learn here that will help me change things in other places. Most of the time I think I do a good job.
